Hi, friends!
I’m Megan DuBose, the owner and founder of Lionheart Parenting. I’m so happy you’re here!
Did you have the moment of panic when the hospital released you and let you leave with this tiny brand-new human as if you were qualified to do this?! I sure did. But parenthood was never meant to be a solo adventure. From now on, consider me part of your parenting village and let’s go on this journey together!
I am a proud mama who loves helping others and making their lives easier. My education, passions, and career all aligned and provided me an opportunity to become an entrepreneur in 2024. With knowledge and training in psychology, project management, and pediatric sleep, I am well-equipped to help your little one learn the skills to sleep independently.
My Why
My goal in life was to be a mother and when I found out I was having a baby girl, I was over the moon. Little did I know just how much sleep deprivation would impact those newborn days. I was irritable, I was barely functioning, and my mental health suffered. One thing my daughter thrived on was routine. I really leaned into the concept of routines and did a lot of reading about wake windows, sleep regression and growth, and after a lot of planning and trial-and-error, she learned to fall asleep on her own, enabling her to make it through the night without my support.
Life with a baby doesn’t have to be sleepless and getting your baby to learn to sleep independently doesn’t have to be heartbreaking and full of crying. You don’t have to spend weeks deciphering blogs, courses, and friendly advice trying to figure out how to make it work for you and your baby. There are options and solutions that fit every situation and parenting style. Most importantly, I’m here to provide the support and encouragement you need so you can simply enjoy parenthood and your precious little one because it truly goes by so fast.
My Training
I wanted to understand multiple methodologies of sleep training, be able to support children of various ages, and understand the root cause of sleep issues and how a child’s development influences sleep. I found all of this and more through the Center for Pediatric Sleep Management. This, coupled with continuous learning and hands-on experience, allows me to take the guess work out of helping your little one so you can rest easy.
